Thousands call for Haniyeh to remain as PM

Tens of thousands of Hamas supporters went to the streets of Gaza calling for Palestinian PM, Ismayel Haniyeh, who is currently in Iran, to remain in his position.
The protest comes as negotiations between Hamas and the Palestinian authority president, Abu Mazen to establish a national unity government. One of the stipulations presented by Abu Mazen is that the new Prime Minister will not be a member of the Hamas organization.
This step is supposed to lead to the lifting of the international ban placed on the Hamas government. The force of the protests come as an embarrassment to Abu Mazen and may forestall the negotiations.
