Netanyahu criticizes Israel's lack of response to attacks from the Gaza Strip

In a meeting of the Likud party in the Israeli Knesset, head of the opposition and former Israeli PM, Benjamen Netanyahu, criticized the government's decision to to respond to Qassam launches from the Gaza strip despite the ceasefire which was declared over a week ago between Israel and the Palestinian terror groups.

Netanyahu warned that the government's policy may have tragic consequences and claimed that as long as the Palestininans launch rockets, Israel cannot sit idly by.

The Likud party also called the government to not permit the return of Palestinian PM, Haniyeh, to Gaza if the latter travels to Syria or Iran, for such visits can only be in order to discuss continued terrorism against Israel.

The Likud party has 12 members in the Israeli Knesset.
